When Tia Zirger moved to South Mississippi from Thailand in 2010, she searched for authentic Thai food but couldn't find the flavors she grew up with. So, she and her husband, James, spent a decade perfecting their craft, learning family recipes, and mastering homemade sauces. In 2020, they opened Rice Thai Cuisine to share their love of fresh, authentic Thai cooking with the community.
Whether you're picking up, ordering delivery, or dining in at one of our cozy tables, every dish is prepared with care and packed fresh to go. We are grateful for the support of our customers and look forward to celebrating five years of serving delicious Thai cuisine on April 22, 2025!

Authentic Thai restaurant! I’ve eaten here plenty of times, driving back to Houston from my monthly Biloxi trip. This last trip, I brought a Filipino friend and his Thai wife, whom frequent Thailand since that is where she is from, and they give this place a 5 star! Kind of glad I didn’t drop the ball and took them somewhere else, whew. This place is a must visit when in Gulfport. Yes, it’s in a pretty sketch area, but that’s where all the good food will be at! They had their daughter there helping us at the register which was awesome! Hard working family, great food, great service, and I pray they have great success.Food: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 5/5

Love this place so much, I wish I lived closer! We have lived in Thailand, and we always complain that it is difficult to find Thai food that tastes like in Thailand. Stopped here by chance on our way from CO to FL, 2021. Was pleasantly surprised. This place tastes just like good Thai food in Thailand!! Now that we were passing through Gulfport again, we had to plan for a stop here. Still as good! super nice owners and the food tastes like in Thailand! Our absolute favorite Thai restaurant in the US. We have lived in FL, CO,NYC,NC and now Texas so we have tried many! Highly recommend this restaurant for a true Thai food experience!Food: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 5/5

Do not miss this place because you aren’t looking out for it. This is a small locally-owned spot serving incredible food at a good value. The owner and his wife work this place, and I recommend you trust their suggestions. I had the Pad See Ew and the mango with sticky rice. Because I love spicy dishes, I did go ahead and opt in for heat level 4, which was just right. I’ll be back later to try their Massaman Curry, and I can’t wait!Food: 5/5 | Service: 5/5 | Atmosphere: 3/5
